Google Cloud Platform is a provider of online computing tools to install and run web applications. Moreover, they also have a place to develop and run apps for individuals and businesses. They use the web to communicate with those app users. On July 14, Google Cloud added two new security services to its cloud network, including a VM service launched as part of Google’s portfolio of confidential computing. Services are designing for industries that are highly regulating and vulnerable to protection like the public sector, education, and finance.

What is Google Cloud?

Google Cloud Platform is a set of Google’s public cloud computing services. The platform provides several hosting services that run on Google Hardware for computing, storage, and application creation. Platform services can be access or obtain through the public internet or via a dedicated network link by software developers, cloud administrators, and another enterprise IT professionals.

What are the Security Capabilities of Google Cloud Platform?

  • Confidential VMs is the first product in the Confidential Computing data encryption program at the organization, a data security system now in beta. All workloads running in VMs in Google Cloud platform today that also run on Confidential VMs.
  •  Assured Government Workloads provides managed environments in which U.S. data location and limits on staff access are applied automatically. Assured Government workloads in U.S. regions are currently in a private beta level.

Moreover, as we have seen, network security varies from the physical components and data center to the hardware provenance in layers.
